Adaeze Atuegwu is a Nigerian-American children’s and young adult author. Adaeze started writing as a preteen and between June 1994 and January 1995, authored 17 children and young adults books, all published between 1994-1995 at the age of 17. This gained her recognition as Nigeria’s youngest and most prolific writer in 1995, with a multi-book launch, press coverages, newspaper interviews, radio interviews, and TV appearances in 1994, 1995, and 1996.

Adaeze’s first book, FATE, was published in 1994 by Fourth Dimension Publishing Company also known for publishing Chinua Achebe’s books. Her second book, TEARS was published by B-Teks Publishing in 1995. FATE, TEARS, and the rest of her books were subsequently published by Cika Publishers – in print and in Braille. Adaeze’s books have collectively sold millions of copies and have been read widely since 1994.
