About

Jen Karetnick is the award-winning author/co-author of 21 books, a mixture of cookbooks, guidebooks, books of poetry, and more, including her fifth full-length book of poems, Inheritance with a High Error Rate (January 2024), winner of the 2022 Cider Press Review Book Award. She is also the editor of two anthologies of South Florida poets and writers. Her consumer and creative work has won first place from the Society of Professional Journalists, Association of Food Journalists, North American Travel Journalists, Tiferet Writing Contest for Poetry, Split Rock Review Chapbook Competition, Hart Crane Memorial Prize, and Anna Davidson Rosenberg Prize, among other honors, and received fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center, Artists in Residence in the Everglades, Wildacres Retreat, Centrum, Mother's Milk Artist Residency, the Deering Estate, Maryland Transit Administration, and elsewhere.
