About

I am currently a student in the Drexel University Creative Writing MFA program. In 2022, I retired from CDC where I was a communications consultant in the Office of the Director. Prior to being recruited to CDC, I worked for several decades as a healthcare journalist, covering the HIV/AIDS pandemic from the 1980s through the 1990s and then joining WebMD as senior writer for 14 years.

My home is in Atlanta where I live with my wife, a clinical psychologist, and our willful border collie. We have a small cabin in North Georgia where we enjoy hiking and kayaking.
