The story of Rafael Guastavino , told from the perspective of his son, also Rafael. Father and son immigrated from Spain to the United States in 1881 and changed the shape of architecture in the United States with a traditional masonry construction technique that they brought from the Old World. Neither of them spoke any English when they arrived and it is a story of struggle and success and the importance of immigration to the American Experiment.
