About

Karin Redclift is a German creative writer, translator, proofreader, and literary tutor with a deep passion for writing and children’s books.

Born and raised in southern Germany, her love for kidlit began with picture books when she was a child and deepened when she started teaching and tutoring elementary-age children. She is a proud 5+ year volunteer at Reading Partners and believes reading aloud is FUN-damental!

Writing in both German and English and discovering ways to bring books and stories into new languages is a challenging yet fulfilling endeavor.
Sharing beloved children's books is a dream come true.

When she is not playing with languages, you can find her reading a book, drawing, painting, gardening, or exploring the beautiful SF Bay Area with her family and their little rescue dog Charlie.

Her publications include translating the beloved children's book classic "Maya the Bee" and the German translation of L.M. Montgomery’s "Emily of New Moon". Her flash fiction is featured in the "Bolts of Fiction" anthology.
