I am a writer and editor living in upstate NY. I am the author of In My Boots: A Memoir of Five Million Steps Along the Appalachian Trail and 100 Things to Do in Ithaca Before You Die. I am the editor of Labor of Love: A Literary Mama Staff Anthology.
Other work has appeared in journals and magazines such as Terrain.org, Stone Canoe, Appalachia, Newfound, Cargo Literary, Pilgrimage, Life in the Finger Lakes Magazines, Highlights for Children, and more. My essay "Blood Mountain" won the 2017 Notes from the Field contest at Flyway Journal.
I served as an editor at Literary Mama for nearly ten years, including as a creative nonfiction editor and editor-in-chief. As a freelance editor, I work on creative nonfiction, memoir, essays, and fiction on a variety of topics.
