Lyle C. May is an Ohio University alum, member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society, and author of the forthcoming anthology Witness: An Insider's Narrative of the Carceral State, due out in the fall of 2023 through Haymarket Books. His writing regularly appears in Scalawag Magazine and spans a number of publications, including Perspectives on Politics, America Magazine, The Intercept, and The Copper Nickel. Lyle also guest lectures at universities, high schools, conferences, on podcasts, and for other public forums about the politics, policies, and experiences of mass incarceration.
