About

Leigh is an Emerging Writer working to secure literary agent representation and get her series of seven debut novels (historical romance subtly spiced with magical realism) published.

The novels chronicle an extraordinary young woman's life, loves, losses, adventures and career in Latin American and international business set against the grand expanse of Texas, the colorful palette of Mexico and the tragedy of the Vietnam War. The time frame spans 1961 to present day, and the story line weaves in and out of actual historical events much like FORREST GUMP. The novels are stringently self-edited.

Leigh is a former health care executive, consultant and educator. She holds a BA from the Institute of Latin American Studies at the University of Texas, a BA from Sacred Heart Dominican College and an MPH from the University of Texas School of Public Health. She is widely traveled and a lifelong avid reader.

She has published a newsletter for a medical staff of 1,400 physicians, an article in a women's magazine, a chapter in a professional book and articles in other professional newsletters. She has written hundreds of policies, procedures and consulting reports and designed, researched and conducted dozens of courses and classes for university students, domestic and international healthcare institutions and their personnel and medical staffs.

She and her family divide their time between their home and an old lake cabin, both in Central Texas.
