About
I grew up in the Bronx in a bi-cultural (Jewish and Latina) home, moved to the Upper West Side after getting a graduate degree in public policy, and raised a family. Still in the same apartment--now just with my husband and two black cats. When not writing fiction, I do policy and advocacy work for foundations, federations, nonprofits and the City government.

Acts of Atonement
Acts of Atonement is the second book in the tale of Serach Gottesman—headstrong eldest daughter of a rigidly Orthodox family, and Paloma Rodriguez—ambitious child of a brutally unsupportive Latina mother. They form a union against all expectations and ten years later—when this second book starts—they are still cozily ensconced together, delighting in New York’s rich diversity, nimbly dodging any pangs of nostalgia or guilt.
Until an unexpected death, a seductive offer, and a brush with violence and the criminal justice system test their courage, fidelity—and love.
