Jama Kim Rattigan is a picture book author who blogs about food, books, and poetry at Jama's Alphabet Soup. Her first book, Dumpling Soup, won Little, Brown's New World, New Voices Multicultural Fiction Contest, and was named a Smithsonian Notable Book and a Notable Trade Book in Social Studies.
A native of Hawaii, Jama now lives in Virginia with one husband and over 300 teddy bears. She enjoys researching and writing about all things chewy, crumbly, and mouthwatering.
