Harriet Quimby: Flying Fair Lady
Coming of age in the fading years of the gilded era, Harriet Quimby was beautiful, intelligent, and forever seeking the next adventure. When her life ended tragically at the age of 37, this extraordinary pioneer had achieved groundbreaking work in aviation, photojournalism, fashion design, script writing, and advertising. As a celebrity journalist in New York City at the dawn of the 20th century, she was also a mouthpiece for women, minorities, and social justice issues. "I think I will achieve something one day," she claimed. Recognition of her legacy is long overdue.
