About

Denise Hart is a writer, poet and producer. Her essays, poems and articles have appeared in The Boston Globe Sunday Magazine, Poets & Writers, anthologies and other national, regional and university publications. She was the co-producer for two documentaries that aired on public television, Mirza’s Bosnia (nominated for a New England Emmy Award), and Four Hands One Heart: Ed and Mary Scheier.

Denise earned an M.A. in Writing (Nonfiction) from the University of New Hampshire, and a M.Ed. in Counseling from Northeastern University. In addition to the Authors Guild, she is a member of the Florida Writers Association, Suncoast Writers Guild, and Florida State Poets Association.

After more than thirty years as a New Englander, she and her husband and their dog said goodbye to winter and moved to southwest Florida. She’s enjoying being in a place near the sea, where the climate, trees and flowers are familiar; bringing back memories of her tropical roots and times spent with her family in Trinidad.
