About

In the 1990s, I wrote two financial literacy books, Women & Money (for teens and adults) and The Value Book (for tweens and teens). I love to write compelling and engaging history for readers of all ages. There are many stories of black heroes and sheroes who have been ignored in American history. Their histories share the legacies and contributions of blacks and women, justice, equality, diversity and inclusion.

My books, articles, and podcasts are unique with the combination of music and black history. My book, Indiana Avenue - Life and Musical Journey from 1915 to 2015 showcases the music legends of Indiana Avenue and my African American family.
