About

I am a Board-certified psychiatrist in private practice in New York City who specializes in integrating psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and related mental health conditions. I am Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College, Assistant Attending at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and on the faculty at Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research.

I am coauthor of The First Year of Marriage: What to Expect, What to Accept and What You Can Change (Warner Books), based on an exclusive nationwide study of newlyweds. It has been published in six U.S. editions and internationally. I also co-authored the award-winning Good Marriage column in Child magazine and have published numerous articles in professional journals.

I have been been a guest on Oprah, CBS Morning Show, Geraldo, NPR, and dozens of other TV and radio shows, and been interviewed on podcasts and for newspaper, magazine, and website articles.
