Deborah Ahern Evans writes fiction that dissects women's lives both in history and in the present. As Veronica Forand, she has won numerous awards in writing including the Bookseller's Best and the Golden Pen in romantic suspense.

Prior to writing, she worked as an attorney and an international tax manager in London and Cleveland. When she's not writing, she volunteers for New England K9 Search and Rescue with her dog Max.

A lover of education, a hater of tests, she attended Smith College, the University of Geneva, Boston College Law School, and the Case Western School of Law. She has lived and worked in London and spent a several glorious months in Ripon, England.

She divides her time living between Philadelphia, Vermont, and Cape Cod.
