About
T. G. Metcalf has lived in seven U.S. states and in Europe over the course of his upbringing, secondary education, and career. Since his mid-twenties he has never stopped writing stories and novels, and his best work portrays characters who face moral quandaries that have upended their lives.
Metcalf is currently (late Oct. 2024) seeking an agent to represent a literary novel about antisemitism in the U.S.: it’s a tragicomedy, a quest narrative, a good-vs.-evil thriller, and a romcom-like buddy story about the harrowing road trip of a woman and two men as they flee from angry neo-Nazis in three states. He knew he needed to include enough humor in this novel to balance the extreme seriousness of its core content, and he thinks he pulled it off.
Metcalf is also seeking an agent to represent a collection of short stories - which will include ones that have appeared in literary magazines in 2024.

“Oswald in Mexico City” is a work of historical fiction: it's a 5,500-word story which includes numerous facts (e.g., Lee Harvey Oswald’s travel itinerary; his visits to the embassies in Mexico City; his lunch with Valery Kostikov; the CIA’s surveillance of him; his visit to the FBI’s Dallas office on November 12th; etc.), mixed with my conjectures about how, and why, J. Edgar Hoover and LBJ might have untraceably “set the table” for what happened on November 22, 1963.
