About

I began reading and writing at an early age, was first published in 1942, have been writing ever since and now find it difficult to stop. Have an award-winning literary novel (Tivolem) and two short story collections published; also several books involving classical music (including Baroque Music, a Practical Guide for the Performer); a biography (Souza) of the late famous artist Francis Newton Souza (1924-2002), who was long a personal friend. Now I have a new novel manuscript (The Fires of Gangapur) and an essay collection (Dancing with Two Left Feet), both awaiting publication. In the late 1950s my critiques of classical concerts and opera performances appeared in the New York Times.
