I am a fully retired criminal and civil rights trial attorney with over 200 jury trials as lead counsel, with experience as both a prosecutor, police legal advisor, criminal defense attorney, and plaintiff's police liability attorney. I am also an NRA certified firearms instructor, my book on Florida and Federal firearm, weapon, and self defense law has sold over 280,000 copies, and I continue to write a monthly column for law enforcement. I self published a book on fantasy (narrative) poetry, and while I continue to write - most of these newer poems remain unpublished so they can be submitted to various contests.

The book has been in existence since 1993 with either a new edition or updated edition coming out once a year in print. It is known by many as "the bible" on legal issues dealing with firearms, weapons, and self defense in Florida, and has sold over 280,000 copies during its lifetime. The purpose of the book is to clearly describe in laymen's terms the various laws and regulations that pertain to these areas, how the laws actually work and are interpreted in the courts, law enforcement, and case law -- with loads of practical advise, common scenarios, and how to react to them in a legal fashion.
