Young Love - An Adoptee's Memoir
Young Love - An Adoptee's Memoir describes my lifelong, innate curiosity about my adoption. I was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and relinquished into foster care by my birth mother at six weeks. Adopted and raised in a family with love and support, I nevertheless became frustrated not knowing anything about my biological family and my heritage—and further frustrated when I learned what it means to have a “closed” adoption. As a young mother, I finally decided to ask for answers and began a 35-year search for my birth parents. My story unfolds with non-identifying information, library research, internet research, and DNA! Adoption search angels provided invaluable assistance and encouragement. My style is open and fresh. I shares my love for both my adoptive and biological families. This memoir will inform and inspire other adoptees who are searching. The answers are out there. Never give up!
