Christina Rauh Fishburne has an MFA from University of Alabama and is an Army wife and mother of three currently stationed in England.
Lucia Maniani is one of six daughters born to Italian immigrants in the 1960s. Her history and her own mother's account are translated through the memories of stories told to her daughter. The past, the present, and the future have similar voices filled with faith, fear, and humor. Strength combats betrayal, imagination rescues from depression, and love does battle with apathy. Three generations of Manianis present their faces to the world, and discovering who one woman is can't be done without learning who she has come from and who she leaves behind. The anchor in this swirling storm of personhood is memory. Ancora makes a case for the importance of telling stories and of remembering them.

- The Silent Current From Within follows Charlie Rauh’s third album, The Bluebell, a collection of solo acoustic guitar pieces inspired by the poetry of Anne and Emily Brontë, and continues the literary theme taking its name from a line in Anne Brontë’s beloved poem, “If This Be All.” Expanding from the solo guitar approach of his previous releases to ensemble arrangement, Rauh enlisted long time collaborators Ess See on vocals and Ken Coomer (Wilco/Uncle Tupelo) on drums, with Jonah Kraut on upright bass. The swirling, earthy, tactile arrangements move between pieces inspired by the writing of Anne Brontë, Christina Rauh Fishburne, and Anne Carson to illustrate a brief journey in search of purpose in the face of overwhelming adversity.
