Fighting Covid-19, the Unequal Opportunity Killer: You are not helpless in the face of the Covid-19 epidemic.
This book give people hope and autonomy. It provides people with steps that can take, in addition to all the current recommendations, to strengthen their defenses against the current epidemic.
The Covid-19 epidemic is clearly an unequal opportunity killer. Statistically, age and race are associated with greatly increased risk of severe disease and death, but are often mistakenly thought of as causes. These are actually statistical associations because of the underlying causes that are more prevalent within these demographics. Underlying preexisting inflammation and immune system anomalies create a pathway to more severe damage, if infected by this dangerous virus. The good news is that the reader, and their health care providers, are given objective tools tools to evaluate these factors and proceed with lifestyle changes. to improve these factors.
As an added benefit, long after this epidemic is past, these same steps may also lead to improved outcomes in preventing or limiting certain chronic diseases in the future.
