Michelle Rogers Nichols MD is a retired family physician born and raised in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina. After finishing her residency in 2001 from Duke University through Southern Regional AHEC in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Dr. Nichols pursued a career in rural family medicine. She lives with her husband, John, and daughter, Hailey Michelle Nichols. She has written for Guideposts, "My Father's Office Visit with the Great Physician." Her interests include palliative medicine, photography, writing, reading, and traveling.

Michelle Rogers Nichols MD is a retired family physician. Through insurmountable odds, she survived COVID-19. She spent fifteen days in the hospital, seven of which were on a mechanical ventilator.
