About
I went to college as an English major at heart, but ended up getting an engineering degree. It seems to have helped. When I write about something technical, it should ring true---even with scientists and engineers I once worked among.
Next came my share of elite military training. My stories' discussions of ordnance, tactics, and martial arts should be sound.
I have a doctorate in Management, which helps me describe how humans undertake the projects in my novels. Expect clearly explained plots despite their inherent complexity.
My wife of many years and I now divide our time between Texas and Arizona. We have two children, six grandchildren, and a golden retriever named Virgil.
My website is www.mikvelk.com.
