Tom Shachtman has written or co-authored more than forty books for major publishers, including award-winners (ABSOLUTE ZERO AND THE CONQUEST OF COLD) and international best-sellers (WHOEVER FIGHTS MONSTERS, with Robert K. Ressler). The latest are ECHOES, a novel (2023, Madville Publishing), and THE FOUNDING FORTUNES, a history (2020, Saint Martins Press). He has also written and directed documentaries seen on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and BBC. He holds an MFA in drama from Carnegie-Mellon, and has taught writing at New York University, Harvard Extension school, and elsewhere.
