My first book, THE FAST: The History, Science, Philosophy, and Promise of Doing Without, is being published by Avid Reader Press/Simon & Schuster in February 2024. It will be translated into Spanish, Italian, and Dutch, and has gotten some nice advance reviews, including a starred review from Publishers Weekly. I've been an editor and publisher for many years.
