About
Heather McCombs, MS, LEED AP ID+C, is an author, lecturer and practitioner of sustainable building design, operations, and management. McCombs’ textbook, LEED Green Associate Exam Preparation Guide, v.4, American Technical Publishers, 2015, is used worldwide as a tool to introduce the core concepts of sustainability to students and professionals in many fields. McCombs is the Assistant Director of Sustainable Design for Lawrence University. She joined UW Oshkosh as a Lecturer in the Sustainable Management program in 2015 and teaches The Built Environment course. She has an M.S. in Organizational Leadership and Quality from Marian University, a B.F.A. from California Institute of the Arts, and an Associate in Interior Design from Fox Valley Technical College. McCombs presents at Career & Technical Education conferences nationwide on sustainability curriculum for secondary and post secondary levels.
