Emilie Fredricks Lounsberry
Staff writer at The Philadelphia Inquirer for more than 20 years, ending in 2009, and I still do freelance work there. Over the years, I have covered a wide variety of stories and had a number of beats but most of the time, I have covered trials and written about the law and the criminal justice system. My most recent work published focused on the wrongful conviction of a Delaware man who spent 28 years in prison in Pennsylvania for murder. He was released from prison last July. I am now an associate professor of journalism at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, N.J.
