Born and Raised in Midland Michigan, I attended and graduated from H.H. Dow High School where I wasn't involved in theatre or the arts or writing I just goofed off for four years and played one season of JV Football in 1996.
Following graduation, I moved to the Detroit area with some of my siblings to start a career in standup comedy; I got listed with an agency and decided standup was not the career I wanted. I'm just not fit for the on the road lifestyle.
After performing standup throughout the great state of Michigan and the great province of Ontario, including Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle and Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club, I then got involved in improvisational theatre or improv for short. I studied improv at The Second City and became a main-stage performer for the improv troupe Big Fun Limo in Royal Oak at the Wunderground Theatre, which is now a coney island restaurant with a yoga loft above it.
Wanting to improve my improv abilities I enrolled in school at the University of Detroit Mercy in their prestigious theatre program, I caught the acting bug, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, and have been involved in theatre ever since.
In order to compete in the world of day jobs, I earned a Master of Science in Marketing from Yeshiva University. During my undergraduate studies at UDM, I took a Creative Writing course that I really enjoyed and caught the writing bug, I am now enrolled in a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program at Concordia University - Saint Paul. My first Publication Spit the Sea is a collection of my poetry and is published by Poetica Publishing Company.
