Barbara Goodheart, ELS, is an award-winning medical writer and editor. Her projects include accredited medical education programs for physicians; books and other projects for patients; content writing; pharmaceutical projects; scriptwriting and other audiovisual projects; Web content; and collaborations. Currently Barbara is a contributing writer at Addiction Treatment Forum (www.atforum.com) and is collaborating with Clyde Goodheart, MD, on a series of diabetes books for patients.

Barbara has published five books and contributed to six others. She has written articles for about two dozen magazines, among them Better Homes and Gardens, Discover, Family Weekly, Hospital Management Quarterly, Northwestern Report (Northwestern University), Together, and Today's Family.

Barbara is certified as an editor by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (BELS).
