Angel Sands Gunn
Angel Sands Gunn has written essays, stories and poems about family, motherhood, identity and the South. She is currently working on a historical fiction novel set in Hinton, West Virginia and New York City before WWII. Her writing has earned awards from the Faulkner-Wisdom Contest, Glimmer Train Press and the Denny Plattner contest at Berea College. Her work has been published in Literary Mama, Full Grown People, Poets Writing the News, Quail Bell Magazine and Appalachian Heritage. She lives in Charlottesville, VA with her husband, two teenage daughters and five furry friends.
