About
I am a psychologist, author, workshop leader and writing coach. I began life wanting to be a writer. After teaching English in high school for several years, I switched gears, returned to school, and earned a PhD in psychology. In 2002 I published A Starving Madness: Tales of Hunger, Hope and Healing in Psychotherapy, about my experience working with eating disordered patients. My second book, Befriending Your Ex After Divorce: Making Life Better for You, Your Kids and Yes, Your Ex, was published in 2012. I have just signed a contract with SheWrites Press who will publish my third book in 2021, working title: Never Too Late: Mining and Mending the MotherDaugher Bond. Currently I live in NYC where I see patients and teach and coach writing classes.
