Loretta Hall is a freelance writer and nonfiction book author. Although she has written for a variety of consumer magazines, she concentrated on civil engineering and architecture trade publications for many years. About ten years ago, her latent fascination with space exploration resurfaced, and she has since concentrated on that subject. During the past fifteen years, she has written seven books for adults and young adults, including two on architecture and three on the history and future of space travel. Her children’s picture book about visiting Spaceport America was published in 2017. She is a board member of New Mexico Press Women, a Certified Space Ambassador for the National Space Society, and a member of the Historical Society of New Mexico’s Speakers Bureau.
