I am the author of more than 90 books, including my 2024 releases: second editions of my "Best Easy Day Hikes" books on Buffalo, Syracuse, and Albany, NY; the fifth edition of "Hiking New York," and two new books, "Birding Texas: Where, How, and When to Spot Birds Across the State," (Falcon, September 2024) and "The Complete Language of Birds," (Wellfleet Press, September 2024). My recent releases include "Death in the Everglades," "Backyard Birding and Butterfly Gardening," "Hiking the Catskills" with Stacey Freed, "Birding Florida," "Death in Rocky Mountain National Park" and "Historic Disasters of New England." I wrote "Death on Katahdin," "Death on Mount Washington," "Death in Zion National Park" and "Death in Glacier National Park" for Lyons Press, and "Hiking New York's Lower Hudson Valley" for Falcon Guides.
I wrote the bestselling birding book "Backyard Birding: A Guide to Attracting and Identifying Birds," FalconGuides National Park Pocket Guides on the Great Smoky Mountains, Acadia, Zion and Bryce Canyon and Everglades National Parks, and one on Gulf Islands National Seashore.
I have ghostwritten a number of books—including several Amazon bestsellers and a Wall Street Journal bestseller—for business executives, individuals, and publishers of general knowledge bestsellers. My ghosted book topics include Alzheimer's disease, divorce, motivational and sales training, home remedies, essential oils, memory techniques, and lean manufacturing.
