Michael A. Prater was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in the suburb of Mesquite to Guy and Dorothy Prater. Michael currently works as a manager by day in a call center in Austin, Texas. He writes in the genres of science fiction, mystery and suspense/thriller. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Texas in Dallas weeks after surviving a two-hundred foot fall in Phoenix, Arizona . Michael is currently completing his Masters of Arts in English and Creative Writing with a concentration in Fiction from Southern New Hampshire University. Michael has published a non-fiction article, The Automatic Tablet Counting Machine. A Step Into The Future in ‘the journal of Pharmacy Technology.” Michael has lived in the big three, Texas, California and upstate New York. He lives with his wife and two dogs, two chickens and a fish.
