Jocosa Wade
Inspired by Hitchcock, I wrote my first short story at the age of seven. During high school, I wanted to be the next Emily Dickinson. After college everything changed. I moved to New Orleans and supported myself as a stripper, while earning an MFA in Performance from the University of New Orleans. My one-act, Beating the Odds, was produced as part of the Washington Theatre Festival in D.C. in 1990 and in 1995 at Mill Mountain Theatre in Roanoke, Virginia. My creative nonfiction recently appeared in Sky Island Journal. I live in New York’s Hudson Valley.
