Donald K. Grayson is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Anthropology and the Quaternary Research Center at the University of Washington. A member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, his books include "The Establishment of Human Antiquity" (1983), "The Great Basin: A Natural Prehistory" (2011), "Giant Sloths and Sabertooth Cats: Extinct Mammals and the Archaeology of the Great Basin" (2016), and "Sex and Death on the Western Emigrant Trail: The Biology of Three Human Tragedies" (2018).
