About
Mark Mitchell (b. 1961, Mississippi, USA) is a writer, editor, and translator, and the recipient of a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship. A selection of his books is listed below. Reviews and essays have appeared in The New York Times Book Review and The Southwest Review, and he has written annotations for recordings published by Arbiter of Cultural Traditions. He is co-founder and managing editor of SUBTROPICS, the literary journal of the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he lives with his partner of thirty-two years, David Leavitt, and Ollie, their Kerry Blue terrier.
