Tyler King
Tyler King is an author and bestselling ghostwriter of romance, suspense, and speculative fiction. She was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, where she graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing. As a journalist, her work has appeared in Slate, Orlando magazine, and Orlando Business Journal, among other publications.
Prior to publishing her first novel, Tyler worked as a theatrical stage technician for Blue Man Group, Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld Orlando. As an active member of the Central Florida performing arts community, Tyler earned credits as an actor, stage manager, director, and playwright, with numerous local production companies, and frequently participated in the Orlando International Fringe Festival.
Possible Jeopardy answers for Tyler: She was an assistant director on the award-winning comedic sci-fi film Fetus Fetish, appeared in a Madam Tussaud’s exhibit, opened for comedian Louie Anderson, and was an alternate contestant on the game show Secrets of the Cryptkeeper’s Haunted House.
One of her proudest contributions to her community was being a founding member of TeenACT!, an improv troupe dedicated to raising awareness about HIV and AIDS, among children and teenagers, in support of Central Florida AIDS Unified Resources, a non-profit organization committed to helping those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Tyler King is a first-generation American-born daughter of a Colombian immigrant, and supports the movement for Hispanic representation, diversity, and #OwnVoices in publishing.
