Kevin Deutsch is an award-winning journalist and author of two books: The Triangle: A Year on the Ground with New York's Bloods and Crips, and Pill City: How Two Honor Roll Students Foiled the Feds and Built a Drug Empire. He covers general assignment news and Jewish communities for Talk Media, an award-winning chain of local news sites in South Florida. He previously worked as a senior staff writer at The Miami Times in Miami, Fla. He has also worked as a staff writer at the Rio Grande Sun, Newsday, the New York Daily News, The Miami Herald, The Palm Beach Post, The Riverdale Press, and Bronx Justice News. His freelance work has appeared in Newsweek, The Forward, Columbia Journalism Review, UK's The Independent, the Orlando Sentinel, and other publications. Kevin specializes in journalism about Jewish community issues and has received several awards for his writing, including an Associated Press award for justice beat reporting. A graduate of Florida International University, Kevin is author of the "After October 7" Substack.
