Kevin Deutsch is an award-winning journalist and founder of the watchdog Jewish news Substack, After October 7. He covers general assignment news and Jewish communities for Talk Media, a chain of local news sites in South Florida. He also writes for the Kansas City Jewish Chronicle and St. Louis Jewish Light. Kevin previously worked as a staff writer at The Miami Times, the Rio Grande SUN, the New York Daily News, The Miami Herald, and The Palm Beach Post, among other outlets. He is the author of The Triangle: A Year on the Ground with New York’s Bloods and Crips and Pill City. Kevin received the 2024 Florida Press Club Awards for Best Minority News Coverage and Best General News Coverage. He is a graduate of Florida International University.
