Jess Montgomery is the author of the Kinship Historical Mystery series published by Minotaur Books. The first novel in the series is THE WIDOWS, published on January 8, 2019. Jess's work has won awards from the Montgomery County (Ohio) Cultural Arts District and the Ohio Arts Council. She writes a weekly column in her hometown newspaper about literary events and authors in her area. In 2015, she was the John E. Nance Writer-in-Residence at the Thurber House in Columbus, Ohio.
