Rubén Degollado’s work has appeared or has been featured in Texas Highways, Lit Hub, The Rumpus, CRAFT, The Common, and Texas Highways. His first novel, Throw was published by Slant Books and won the Texas Institute of Letters Best Young Adult book for 2020. His literary novel The Family Izquierdo is a PEN/Faulkner longlisted fiction book and The New York Times Editor’s Choice. Rubén lives and writes along the southern border, in the Río Grande Valley of Texas.
