D-L Nelson is an American born, Swiss writer. She lives in both France and Switzerland. She has written a series of mysteries about a Third Culture Kid and tech writer who stumbles across murders when she takes various assignments in places like Paris, Geneva, Insel Poel. Annie, is also a lover of history, and part of each novel has a historical aspect. As a third culture kid (a child who lives outside her parents countries and is neither a full part of her parents' culture or of the culture where she lives) Annie tries to come to terms with her own sense of national identity while benefiting from the many languages she speaks.
