Deborah Nedelman, Ph.D. worked as a clinical psychologist for 30 years, all the time writing clinical case notes, psychological assessments, research papers and journal articles. She co-authored A Guide for Beginning Psychotherapists, Cambridge Press, which was published in 10 languages and used around the world for training therapists. She co-authored a second non-fiction book, was Still Sexy After All These Years? The 9 Unspoken Truths about Women’s Desire Beyond 50, Penguin/Perigee.
When she retired from her clinical practice, Deborah began writing fiction and has published numerous short stories in journals including, Contemporary World Literature, Every Writer’s Resource, Writers’ Advice, Writer’s Type, Literary Orphans and Concho River Review. She has won prizes for her short fiction. Her first novel, What We Take for Truth, is in press with Adelaide Books. Deborah has an MFA from the Northwest Institute of Literary Arts and is a certified Amherst Writers and Artists group facilitator.
