Ellin Pollachek PhD. has made her voice heard in many genres. Not a specialist in any one subject, her oeuvre includes writings on Jewish traditions, Care Giving and Motherhood, Transgressive Art and Writing (for which she earned a PhD. from New York University in 1999), Travel (with a focus on India), Children's Books for New Jersey classrooms. She has written on medical issues and photographed a heart transplant. She has both written and critiqued pornography. Her fictional work includes two novels: Midnight Sins (Bantam Books), Seasons (Zebra Books) as well as a number of short stories. She has lectured at Binghampton University, Western Kentucky University, and for the 50th anniversary at a symposium for the Contemporary American Woman. Her work has earned her grants from Poets and Writers to run writing workshops on writing and healing as well as fiction-writing, Catskill Mt. Foundation for printing of photographs on India, Greene County Council of the Arts for curating three separate art shows.

Ellin Pollachek divides her time between Manhattan and the Hudson River Valley where she resides with her two cats Zeus and GreyBalls, her rarely seen husband and her decades-long memories.
