Rev. Lisa is the senior pastor of the St. Matthew’s Baptist Church of Harlem. She is also an Adjunct Lecturer of multicultural studies with the City University of New York, and has taught Biblical Exegesis, New Testament Studies and the Politics of Jesus at New York Theological Seminary. She is currently a Facilitator for Fuller Theological Seminary’s Micah Group Program. Rev. Jenkins received her B.S. in Speech Communications from Pace University and her M.Div. from New York Theological Seminary and is currently a doctoral student at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. Her advocacy transverses ecumenical boundaries, with her work spanning across religions. Even though much of this sounds very serious, Rev. J is really a very cool and fun person who believes in Jesus, justice and jokes.
