Bunny Leach was born in Michigan and lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. In addition to her writing Bunny is a patient advocate. She’s a member at ASCO, (American Society Clinical Oncology) www.asco.org, and committee member, patient advocate for TAPUR, (Targeted Agent Profiling Utilization Registry) Molecular Tumor Board www.tapur.org
Bunny is the director for the NICKI LEACH FOUNDATION, www.nickileach.org a non-profit organization that funds grants for research in AYA Adolecence & Young Adult tumors. The NLF also provides modest financial assistance to AYA’s who have cancer for education.
Her passion is writing, she loves writing non-fiction. Bunny Leach is author of three non-fiction books, and is working on her third book Mourning Mothers: A Manual For Grieving Moms (October 2019)

- DEBBIE MACOMBER - I first met Bunny through an e-mail she sent me after reading my book, The Shop on Blossom Street. One of the characters, Lydia Hoffman, survived brain cancer as a teenager, and as the story begins, Lydia opens a yarn store in Seattle as an affirmation of life. Fittingly enough, Bunny found my book at a yarn store, one in North Carolina. Because of her daughter, Nicki, she immediately identified with the story and particularly with this character. But Lydia survived two bouts of cancer. Unfortunately, Nicki didn’t. Eventually Bunny joined me at a book signing in Florida, and we connected not only as author and reader but as friends. The difference between my story and Bunny’s is that hers is a story she’s lived. In Turtle Shells, Bunny has shared the beauty of her beloved Nicki’s life and the grief caused by her death.
