Captain Mike Whitehead is a United States Coast Guard–licensed captain, nationally recognized maritime broadcaster, author, and keynote speaker with a lifelong passion for boating and maritime topics. He has earned a reputation as an expert in the field and is frequently invited as a guest on other shows to share his insights. Mike is best known as the host of Boathouse TV & Radio Shows, broadcast coast to coast on stations including FOX Sports, Comcast, Time Warner, Hawaiian TV, Cox Cable, and others. His radio show has aired on powerful 50,000-watt stations, including Salem Communications and the Los Angeles Angels Radio station, reaching audiences nationwide.

Mike is well known as the original and only announcer of the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, which during his tenure was ranked #2 in the nation for Christmas festivities—behind Rockefeller Center and ahead of Disney World.
