Joan Long is the author of the mystery novel THE FINALIST. She is a third-generation Floridian who received a degree in English/Creative Writing from Florida State University. Her graduate degree in Journalism and Communications was earned at The University of Florida. Although she has written for universities, public television, healthcare corporations, a magazine and more, she most enjoys writing mysteries and suspense with warm weather settings.
