Patricia Anderson, PhD, a scholar of history and publishing studies, is the author of books, magazine and journal articles, anthology contributions, and reviews. Her books have been published by Oxford University Press (Oxford and New York), Harper Collins (New York), and Thomas Allen Books of Merit (Toronto); she is listed in The Writers Directory (formerly Contemporary Authors), International Authors and Writers Who's Who, and Killam Scholars Who's Who. Her books have been reviewed in the A.L.A Booklist, January Magazine, National Post, New York Review of Books, San Francisco Review, Times Literary Supplement, and other such publications. She has also been featured on CTV's Canada AM, CBC TV's Broadcast One Bookmark, BRAVO's Book TV, in the book and lifestyle sections of newspapers, and on American and Canadian radio shows. In addition to the Authors Guild, she is a member of the Editors’ Association of Canada (EAC) and the Writers’ Union of Canada (TWUC).

In 1999 she went online with HelpingYouGetPublished.com, a freelance editing and literary consulting service that guides emerging authors through the ups and downs of the publishing industry. Her own recent writing projects include “The ABCs of Book Writing,” a blog series at HelpingYouGetPublished.blogspot.ca, and a series of ebooks in progress, designed to introduce new authors to successful writing and publishing strategies.
