Emerging writer Brenda Clark Thomas is an author of fantasies, post-apocalyptic, and psychological thrillers. She also writes speculative short stories with a literary bent.

She is the 2020 runner-up in fiction for the prestigious Poets & Writers Maureen Egen Writers Exchange Award.

Her horror novelette, The Surrogate, is now available for pre-release on Amazon.

In a single year, she won five first-place awards from five different judges in five separate categories—two unpublished novel wins, adult short story, horror short story, and flash fiction. Four of those awards were given at writers' conferences.

Her publishing credits include feature articles in The American Kennel Club Gazette and Dog World magazine.

She holds a BA in English and an MS in Psychology. At one time, she worked as a top-secret contract programmer/systems analyst for the Army.

A native Californian, she lives with her New Yorker husband near Tulsa, Oklahoma.
